Description

As the Fleet Supervisor, you will have a high level of management and interpersonal skill, with the ability and willingness to co-operate with peers, a sound knowledge of Refrigerated Freight handling, service orientation and linehaul equipment.

You will be an alert, business-oriented person who is able to maximise opportunities through timely decision making, awareness of cost control, innovative thinking, and the preparedness to handle all tasks in a conscientious manner.

Experience with Mass Management and Fatigue management are a bonus.


You will be responsible for all aspects of operations that should be conducted in a safe, efficient, and service oriented environment.

You will have the opportunity to direct, co-ordinate, supervise and achieve service objectives regarding the local cartage, ensuring that tasks are completed in the most efficient manner with agreed standards in operational procedures.


Key Responsibilities- Ensuring the workplace is safe and free from hazards, and that all activities comply with legislation and policies.- Maintaining a customer-focused approach to all activities and ensuring the highest levels of service are provided.- Encouraging staff to actively engage in the workplace by seeking their input and suggestions and providing opportunities for development and growth.- Identifying and reporting hazards, injuries, and incidents, and taking appropriate action to mitigate and prevent future occurrences.- Participating in health and safety improvement activities, reviews, audits, and consultations.- Engaging in safety audits and observations to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.- Leading and directing employees in their lane of operation to ensure operational targets are met.


Qualifications and Experience- Proven experience as a Fleet Supervisor or similar role in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.- Ability to effectively manage a team and meet operational targets.- Experience in developing and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures.
