About the role


We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for a Digital Optimisation and Insights and Analyst in our Digital and Automation team.


In this role you will support and contribute towards digital growth across digital channels by producing timely and accurate performance reporting, analysis, and insights.


You will support and empower product owners to be data-led, surfacing actionable insights to improve member experience, channel effectiveness, conversion rate, marketing campaign performance to optimise the end-to-end digital journey for members and new customers.


  • Helps to uncover customer problems, identifying areas of high dropouts and customer dissatisfaction.
  • Has the capability to work with datasets to clean, summarise and interpret the data and provide valuable insights
  • Manages translation of business requirements into data requirements in line with strategic digital objectives and available data attributes.
  • Provides insight into development of trends across internal and external performance metrics.
  • Maintains effective and valued relationships with the Group Analytics team, Member and Community teams, external agencies, and stakeholders across the RACQ Group.
  • Defines and manages internal processes to prioritise optimisation opportunities and deliver end to end implementation.
  • Assists in the preparation of new initiative business cases and prepares, analyses and documents business requirements and specifications for benchmarking and tracking of digital initiative performance.
About You

  • Be proficient with tagging and data analyst tools such as Google Analytics, MS Suite and could learn other tools as required
  • Have great communication skills and the ability to get your message across to different audiences
  • Strong proficiency in Javascript is preferred
  • Provider of actionable recommendations and insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in an analytical role (data analysis, interpretation, and deployment).
  • Demonstrated experience in SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS DI Studio, SAS Web Report Studio, Base SAS / SQL or effective equivalents.
  • Demonstrated experience in SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS DI Studio, SAS Web Report Studio, Base SAS / SQL or effective equivalents.
  • Ability to problem solve and work on own.
  • Experience in advanced Microsoft Office user.
