Immediate start for Term 1, 2024
Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint a part time teacher of classroom Music.

You will have demonstrated ability to be a leading Music Teacher with a track record of excellence both in and out of the classroom.

The role requires an exceptional educator and leader who is passionate about engaging and motivating students.

About the Role

As a key member of our Music Department, you will be able to deliver a vibrant, accessible curriculum to your students and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in these areas.

You will be using teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group and a willingness to differentiate curriculum to the needs of the students.

You will bring your passion for Music teaching to the 2024 school year. Above all, have a willingness to engage, connect and care for our students.

This is a part time, ongoing teaching role with an immediate start during Term 1, 2024.

About You
You will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching, and experience in teaching Music

You will demonstrate:

Care and connectedness with students
Current VIT registration
Experience teaching Middle School students Years 10
The ability to lead a Junior Concert Band will be advantageous
The ability to take Drama will be advantageous.
Strong IT skills to deliver an innovative program using Digital Audio Workstations such as Ableton and SoundTrap
Ability to encourage and motivate your students
Strong communication and organisational skills
Highly developed interpersonal skills
The ability to encourage students to take risks within a structured school environment, to make individual choices and to use new experiences as learning opportunities
A desire to work collaboratively with other teachers and actively engage in the broader life of the Music Department and School including activities such as incursions/excursions, concerts, sport and activity days.
