About the Position:


Flinders Foundation is seeking a talented Communications & Social Media Specialist to join their small, dynamic and dedicated team, working to support health and medical research and improve patient care across the Flinders medical precinct.


With a focus on social media coordination and communications, you'll have a natural talent for writing and storytelling with proven knowledge and experience in sourcing and crafting engaging content - including capturing photos and videos.

You'll embrace the opportunity to increase their visibility and engagement, including exploration of new channels and tactics.

Your communications expertise will see you supporting their community-based fundraisers and activities to grow participation and raise the profile of Flinders Foundation.

Flexible office working hours Monday - Friday; working from home can also be negotiated.


Key Responsibilities:

Communications
  • Develop and implement integrated communications plans.

Social Media
  • Develop engaging content and implement social media strategy.

Content Creation
  • Craft copy for various campaigns and channels.

Content Marketing
  • Support the development of communications and collateral for donors and supporters, and the development of engaging donor journeys.

General

  • Advise team on tools and channels and much much more

'What you look like' and need to demonstrate to be successful':

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Not-For-Profit Management (preferred).
  • 5+ years in fundraising, marketing, or communications.
  • Strong professional copywriting passion and experience.
  • Proven social media coordination and content creation skills.
  • Project/campaign management expertise.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Successful stakeholder management track record.
  • Creative and innovative thinker.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Highly Regarded:

-
Proven success in individual giving programs.

  • Understanding of donor acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Raisely, Campaign Monitor, and similar tools.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Adobe, Photoshop, or Canva).
  • Proactive and cando attitude.
