YOUR OPPORTUNITY


Due to a recent opening, we have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate
Health, Safety and Wellbeing
(HSW) Advisor
/ Return to Work Co-ordinator to support our Blackwoods and Bullivants teams across QLD.


Primarily you will be responsible for contributing to and assisting in the execution of strategy, plans and initiatives for incident/injury prevention and risk mitigation in line with Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety policies, standards, and procedures.

Largely focusing on; leading, coaching, guiding, and mentoring in the identification of health, safety and well-being needs and development of solutions.


Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Utilising strong facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills to achieve desired HSW and Injury Management outcomes.
  • Drive team participation in Qld State Leadership and Distribution Centre's HSW Consultative teams through the implementation of risk controls and HSW initiatives.
  • Provide support to the Health and Wellbeing Manager with National Wellbeing initiatives, Early Intervention, Return to Work and Workers Compensation claims management.
  • Participate in selfinsurance program requirements and close out of associated nonconformances.
  • Participate in incident investigations and manage associated corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Blackwoods and Bullivants in QLD

To be successful, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in a Work, Health, Safety, and Injury Management function ideally within a large and diverse organisation
  • A working knowledge of WHS legislation and Self Insurance Licensing requirements
  • A handson operational approach to influencing at business level.
  • A genuine passion and interest in the health, safety, and wellbeing of our people
  • Additional qualifications in Auditing and Incident Investigation would be advantageous.
