As Project Officer (TRaCE), you will provide project management support throughout the planning, execution, and reporting of University of Newcastle TRaCE initiatives.

You will be exposed to a range of projects targeting research translation, institutional reforms, and education outcomes from start to finish.

This rewarding role will equip you with the knowledge and experience to boost your project management skills.

  • The Trailblazer for Recycling and Clean Energy (TRaCE) aims to accelerate the development of clean energy and recycling technologies from research to products into global markets._
  • The $280M program spans the innovation lifecycle, from research and commercialisation through to derisking, demonstration, deployment, and manufacturing, and is underpinned by critical workforce skills, cultural change, and university workplace reform. TRaCE will create new patents, bring new products to market, deliver critical skills for the recycling and clean energy economy, and contribute to our net zero emissions target._

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with the TRaCE business unit and program partners to support project management, including the performance of administrative and secretariat responsibilities.
  • Communicate updates regularly with the TRaCE Program Manager and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop procedures to manage program activities and effective collaborations.
  • This 4year fixed term position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land)._

What we offer:

The remuneration for this position is from $82, % superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in a program or project delivery field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and / or education / training.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience, including the ability to manage and deliver multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial analysis and reporting, process mapping, use of systems and data visualisation (ie dashboarding).
  • Demonstrated highlevel written, oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the development of project communications such as reports, presentations, and governance group correspondence.
  • Ability to coordinate, work collaboratively and bring together people from different areas to achieve project goals and positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills with the ability to manage changing demands and expectations in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
