Study Manager

Work Location:

Fortescue's East Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster:

Monday to Friday

Reporting to the Regional Study Manager within the Global Project Development team, the Study Manager is a technical and commercial specialist for the development of projects, responsible for developing appropriate solutions to meet project scoping and feasibility requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and contributing to the delivery of project studies including scoping, prefeasibility and feasibility.
Advancing studies inline with governance and assurance procedures to the required timelines and budget
Managing consultants / vendors appropriately ensuring delivery of required services and products meet Fortescue and industry standards of delivery.
Employing a process driven approach to studies whilst leading with a sense of urgency.
Ability to conclude study information and outputs into an overall project business case for investment committee consideration.
Leading and managing the design, study and project development initiatives
Leading multiple personnel and consulting with teams to deliver required targets.
Create and maintain relations with all teams and external stakeholders.
Escalation of matters with stakeholders as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline or similar qualification, with significant experience in a leadership position managing similar sized projects. Relevant study and project management experience of major projects.
Experience in working in an owner's team.
Experience delivering project studies from prefeasibility, FEED to FID.
Experience in a lead role, contracting and procurement strategies through to vendor assessment processes for major project awards.
Experience in renewable energy technology would be highly regarded.
Strategically minded in study development and delivery
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate project activities.
Proven stakeholder management skills.
Proven experience managing teams. Excellent engagement skills across all business levels
