Study Manager
Work Location:
Fortescue's East Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster:
Monday to Friday
Reporting to the Regional Study Manager within the Global Project Development team, the Study Manager is a technical and commercial specialist for the development of projects, responsible for developing appropriate solutions to meet project scoping and feasibility requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and contributing to the delivery of project studies including scoping, prefeasibility and feasibility.
- Advancing studies inline with governance and assurance procedures to the required timelines and budget
- Managing consultants / vendors appropriately ensuring delivery of required services and products meet Fortescue and industry standards of delivery.
- Employing a process driven approach to studies whilst leading with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to conclude study information and outputs into an overall project business case for investment committee consideration.
- Leading and managing the design, study and project development initiatives
- Leading multiple personnel and consulting with teams to deliver required targets.
- Create and maintain relations with all teams and external stakeholders.
- Escalation of matters with stakeholders as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline or similar qualification, with significant experience in a leadership position managing similar sized projects. Relevant study and project management experience of major projects.
- Experience in working in an owner's team.
- Experience delivering project studies from prefeasibility, FEED to FID.
- Experience in a lead role, contracting and procurement strategies through to vendor assessment processes for major project awards.
- Experience in renewable energy technology would be highly regarded.
- Strategically minded in study development and delivery
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate project activities.
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience managing teams. Excellent engagement skills across all business levels
