    About Gracemount Mansion Development Trust

    Gracemount Mansion Development Trust (GMDT) was established in 2022 to manage the community asset transfer ofGracemount Mansion House and grounds from the City of Edinburgh Council to conserve and renovate the category Blisted Mansion, re-establishing the site as a thriving community hub. GMDT is a charity registered with OSCR(SCO

    Gracemount Mansion House sits within the heart of Gracemount community and has the potential to re-establish amuch-needed community-based centre rooted in a historic building.

    The Gracemount project is at an early stage and we are looking for a project manager who will play a significant rolein bringing this project to life, coordinating and managing the development work to reopen part of the Mansionand grounds on a meanwhile basis, until future funding can be raised to undertake the much needed developmentwork to reopen all the building and grounds.

    The successful candidate, will be primarily responsible for coordinating the project team, managing the delivery ofthe contractors in line with timescales and budget, engaging with key stakeholders and the local community,project progress and outcomes reporting, contributing to essential fundraising needs and generally supportingthe work of Gracemount Mansion Development Trust.     We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, flexible and self-motivated person to work together with GracemountMansion Development Trust and the appointed professional team to drive forward the next phase of our excitingproject. The project manager will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of the projectand should have the necessary administrative and organisational skills to enable this to happen.

    Project delivery will be carried out in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Trust and in compliance withthe criteria of the funding.

    Lochgoil Community Trust is a limited company and a registered charity (SC033976), founded in April 2011. From 2018the priorities of the trust were largely determined by the Lochgoil Community Action Plan. This is beingreplaced by the Lochgoil Local Place Plan (LPP) which is based on extensive community engagement. Many potentialprojects have been identified along with the aspects relating to planning.

    In close cooperation with Lochgoil Community Council and Carrick Castle Community Trust, Lochgoil Community Trustwill lead the implementation of the Local Place Plan. We are seeking the services of an experienced CommunityDevelopment and Fundraising Officer to support this mission of the Trust.

    Purpose of the role

    To facilitate the implementation of the Local Place Plan and support the work of the Lochgoil CommunityTrust by building capacity within our community.

    This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Supporting project leaders by securing external funding through well-prepared grant applications and adminbackup
    • Monitoring the progress of the Local Place Plan and its outputs, includingsurveys
    • Facilitating online communication – website, Facebook and other social media asrequired
    • Supporting with administration of Trust meetings and memberships
    • Enhancing the capacityand contribution of local volunteers
    • Supporting the local community to play an active role in thedelivery of the Local Place
    • Stimulating interest in and awareness of local community issues andencouraging involvement in decision making
    • Promoting integration and cohesion within and betweencommunity groups (i.e. Community Councils, Social Clubs, Recreation Centres)

    Fife Communities Climate Action Network (FCCAN) is a network of community groups in Fife that are taking action onclimate change. Our aim is to empower and enable communities to create a low carbon future and promote localresilience and well-being.

    The Hub offers training, advice, inspiration, networking, funding and signposting to places of support. We provideopportunities for networking and shared learning to create a strong climate movement across Fife and drivechange across all sectors.

    We're looking for passionate, enthusiastic people to further develop the project. This is an exciting opportunity toshape community climate action within Scotland through a model of localised 'grassroots' collaborativesupport.

    The Community Development Officer (Engagement) will contribute to the delivery of Fife Climate Hub's vision to createa growing, diverse and inclusive network. The post holder will reach out to new and diverse audiences. They willsupport groups to initiate, develop and run climate action projects and inspire climate action through events,talks and workshops.

    The Community Development Officer (Funding) will support existing community groups to access funding to deliver theirclimate projects. The post holder will signpost groups to relevant funding opportunities, support them throughthe application process and act as a liaison between community groups, local authority and funders. They willalso administer Fife Climate Hub's Community Climate Grants scheme.

    Research Data Scotland (RDS) is a charity set up by the Scottish public sector and leading universities. We helpresearchers find and make use of data that can improve the lives of people in Scotland.     RDS aims to provide a step change in the service to researchers, whilst maintaining the high standards of informationgovernance and data security already in place. Our focus is on providing a streamlined service for researchers, as well as extendingthe range of data available through the service, particularly in the areas of Covid-19, NHS imaging, geospatialdata, children and justice services.

We work closely with the national and regional safehavens.     About the job

    The Business Manager will work closely with the Chair, CEO and Operations Director to manage, coordinate and schedulethe regular cycle of our governance and business activities. This will include coordinating board meetings aswell as maintaining our internal registers and ensuring our reporting mechanisms are top-notch This post willbe highly varied and vital to the successful delivery of our Business and Delivery plans.

    There is a strong focus on developmental projects, operational risk, records management, governance, improving ourperformance and delivering our day-to-day charity operations. You'll be an important member of our OperationsTeam, sharing your expertise with colleagues and board members, as well as independently leading onactivities.

    You are a self-starter, with experience of working with stakeholders at every level. You'll understand the importanceof engaging well with board members, senior leaders and your colleagues to get their input into your work andsupport great governance. You are highly organised and thrive on managing multiple projects with differentdeadlines. You are keen to deliver, with an eye for detail and the pragmatism to understand our context andenvironment.
