- Co-ordinating the reprint programme and participating in the development of a larger backlist with strong reprint potential.
- Monitoring sales information and making the profitability and practical case for viable reprints.
- Working with internal and external contributors, setting deadlines and briefs for them for writing and delivery of material for new projects.
- Editorial duties such as advising on and controlling content, liaising with authors, managing copyediting and proof reading.
- Briefing and project managing freelance staff and printers (including obtaining advance quotations) on reprints and new projects.
- Picture research, negotiating image fees with suppliers, copyright clearance and rights management. Organising and managing image file assets and image rights and maintaining meticulous records.
- Controlling production schedules, budget and specification, as well as providing detailed records on the challenges and successes in the project.
- Supporting the team by researching information for marketing plans; preparing marketingcopy for the publishing list; preparing, compiling and updating publishing information for various social media outputs.
- Supporting order fulfilment to the trade distributor.

About the role
We have a new and very exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about book publishing to join our dedicated Publishing team.
A strong team player, you will have proven experience of managing publishing projects, ideally in a gallery or museum environment.
You will have meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills and strong commercial instincts.You'll be part of our small and collaborative team that handles multiple projects. You'll be required to co-ordinate the reprint programme and focus especially on projects with reprint potential.
You'll also be involved in other projects and carry out key duties within the department such as picture research, editorial and production work, and general office and project administration.
