About the Role
Due to the appointment of a new Partner in the Employee Relations and Safety team, the need for a Legal Secretary has arisen.
The practice spans the full range of employment law, industrial relations and safety work.
Will be working with a diverse range of clients on advisory, transactional and litigation matters, with particular expertise in the financial services sector.
Being a capable, communicative and proactive Legal Secretary you can expect your daily responsibilities to include:Providing top client service to external and internal clients, including answering phone calls, communicating author availability, and relaying messages;
Document management - drafting, amending and formatting correspondence and documents;
Diary management;
Managing the monthly billing process - entering time and preparing bills;
Opening files, conducting conflict searches and obtaining appropriate approvals;
Assistance with proper file closure procedures;
Liaison with the Business Development team, including assistance with updating firm CRM (OnePlace and ClientHelp); and
AMEX reconciliation/expense management.
Skills & Experience
Miminum of 2 years in a legal support role;
Knowledge of the monthly billing process in a legal environment;
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, choosing an appropriate style for their audience; and
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
