YOUR NEW ROLE


The position sits within the Digital Marketing team and is responsible for managing all aspects of Sydney Opera House social media channels.

The social media specialist will grow and engage local and international audiences; and support the execution of our channel and campaigning strategies and activities.

This role will have an advanced level of knowledge of social media channels and the latest platforms, tools and social technology developments.


The role requires an advanced level of knowledge of both Western and Chinese social media channels and the latest platforms, tools and social technology developments.

The role will also be supporting audience engagement and paid campaigns to support the NSW Government CALD audience goals.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

We are looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a similar position managing social media platforms as well as channel content creation, fan acquisition, and campaign management.
  • Platform management knowledge across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Youtube as well as Chinese digital marketing platforms including Weibo, WeChat and Redbook. Sound knowledge utilising social measurement and monitoring platforms such as Hootsuite, Meltwater, Local Measure etc.
  • Expert knowledge of paid channels that reach Chinese audiences locally and internationally.
  • High level skills in writing, translating and editing simplified and traditional Chinese, to create engaging copy.
  • Proven experience in online community management.
  • Degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline.
  • Passion for the digital industry coupled with high awareness of digital trends.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and relationship management skills.
  • Proven experience with website analytics.
