A mechanical background and experience with Capital Equipment, CAT, KOMATSU, Hitachi, Sani, Kobelco etc would be a considerable advantage. Previous involvement in a customer service environment handling enquiries would also be considered an advantage. They offer long term employment with career advancement opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain and develop the workshop's capacity to meet Company requirements.
Management of work allocation to trades mechanics, Auto Electricians etc
Ensure that all machines maintenance schedules and repairs are completed on time
Ensure that all work completed by the workshop is completed in time and is of the Company's requirements.
Day to day management of all staff
Diagnostic Skills
Deal with any critical issues as they arise
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement changes designed to set industry best practice.
Manage WHSE to ensure legal compliance of workshop and safety of staff
Identify shortfalls in performance and address these concerns as required.

Skills and Experience

Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic with 3 to 5 year's prior experience managing employees in the same or similar setting.
Prior experience working in the Heavy Earth Moving Equipment industry is preferred
Good time management skills
Prior experience in driving cultural change in a workshop/operational environment.
Excellent people management skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and managers.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good computer skills.
