Who are we looking for?
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Sustainability Project Officer to join Facilities Management, Administrative Division.


The Sustainability Project Officer provides support to QUT's Green Impact Program and assists with the development of sustainability programs at QUT.

This includes engaging with staff and students to increase awareness of sustainability and participation in sustainability related events and activities at QUT.

About the Administrative Division


Administrative Division supports the governance and operations of the University, including planning and quality, facilities and services for students and staff.

The Administrative Division is led by the Vice-President (Administration) and University Registrar.


About Facilities Management


The Facilities Management Department within the Division of Administrative Services is responsible for managing the process of design, construction, maintenance and operation of the physical facilities, and the provision of a range of support services across the University's two main campuses at Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove and a range of smaller offsite facilities.

QUT's built asset portfolio includes in excess of 68 individual buildings with a total gross floor area (GFA) in excess of 400,000 m2.

Facility functionality ranges from general teaching spaces to high technology research laboratories and related infrastructure.


What you need to succeed

You will demonstrate:

  • A currently enrolled undergraduate or postgraduate QUT student studying an environmental, engineering, science, marketing, communications or similar program at QUT with a graduation date exceeding December 202
  • Demonstrated experience in a professional workplace providing administrative support.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of clients and enquiries.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, work independently and meet deadlines.
