About the Role
An exciting newly created opportunity has become available within BOQ Groups' Retail Banking Division


Supporting the Bank of Queensland, Virgin Money Australia and ME Bank brands, this role will be embedded within our home loan transformation program, creating a new digital home lending experience that is set to simplify, digitise, optimise and strengthen the bank.

They'll be responsible for ensuring our communications to bankers and customers about this program of work are always well-crafted, clear and timely.


The role would suit an experienced Communications Specialist who is looking for their next challenge, ideally with some experience communicating banking, home lending or digital transformation change activities.


Key responsibilities:

  • Support development of and manage execution of the program Communications Plan to ensure consistent, predictable messages are delivered through established communications channels
  • Create programs, materials and coaching to influence positive change adoption through the Bank's change and continuous improvement agenda
  • Plan and deliver engaging and impactful communications campaigns aligned to key milestones on the program Change Calendar
  • Bring creativity and innovation to the development of communications materials and experiences, tailored to each of our distinct brand personas and fitforpurpose for each of our varied customer audiences
  • Coordinate, create and and publish communications materials including EDMs, letters, SMS, web content, social content, intranet articles and virtual and live events using Sharepoint, Teams and Outlook

About you

  • Retail or service industry experience with a large frontline team
  • Proven experience creating and delivering strategic communications plans within complex, multibrand organisations
  • Ability to influence and change behaviour using creative communications campaigns and tactics
  • Track record of measuring impact and using data and insights to drive future decisionmaking
  • Tertiary or industry qualification in Communications, Journalism or Marketing related fields will be viewed favourably
  • Success in managing a broad variety of communications projects with competing priorities
