The Role

Mercy Community have a position available for an Education and Vocation Practitioner to join our Families and Young People team.

This is a Permanent Part-time position offering 45 hours a fortnight based in Ipswich. This role is responsible for providing education and/or vocation support to young people in out-of-home care.

This role will support young people to reach their own educational and psycho-social goals, including engagement with mainstream education, vocational training and/or employment.

To be eligible for this position you will require (Key Selection Criteria):

You will hold 3 or 4 year tertiary qualification in Education, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline.
Evidence of current vaccination against Whooping Cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement, unless applicable of exemption is provided.
You must hold a current Queensland Provisional Green or Open Driver's License
You must hold a positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and be able to obtain a positive Police Check and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.

This position offers a competitive annual salary of $35.77 to $42.25 plus superannuation depending on qualifications and experience. You will also have the opportunity to increase your take-home pay by salary sacrificing and other benefits.
