Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our feed additive manufacturing operations.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations, optimising production efficiency, and maintaining the highest quality standards for our feed additives.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the feed additive manufacturing team, including production supervisors, operators, and other personnel.
  • Maintain Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) GMP / Feed Additive and Manufacturing Quality System (FAMI-QS) / Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) compliant manufacturing processes for feed additives.
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling to ensure ontime delivery of products.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to GMP / FAMI-QS / HACCP regulations and quality control procedures.
  • Participate to GMP / FAMI-QS / HACCP Audits as manufacturing team leader.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production efficiency and minimise waste, including yield and quality.
  • Manage and maintain all manufacturing equipment, ensuring correct calibration of scales & sensors and collaborate with external maintenance technicians to ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance is undertaken. Ensure that production equipment software updates are completed and tested for to GMP / FAMI-QS / HACCP compliance.
  • Monitor and optimise the performance of automated packaging, sealing and palletising units. Ensure that remote monitoring systems are functioning and recording data as required by standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure all raw materials are received, stored, and documented according to standard operating procedures. Monitor and report any feed fraud activities or issues during production.
  • Ensure the correct labelling of containers of materials and products and document checks.
  • Maintain detailed production documentation, including batch records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and cleaning procedures.
  • Liaise with other departments, such as quality control, research and development, and sales, to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Stay up to date on the latest advancements in feed additive manufacturing.
  • Oversee the performance of granulation equipment, including ensuring that mixing uniformity, hygiene, and product flow characteristics and humidity is controlled.
  • Ensure that the new process lines upgrades are installed within scope and budget, such as surfactant process line, upgrade of mineral binder receiving unit and the commissioning of automated packing and sealing unit.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process inefficiencies and equipment malfunctions.
  • Conduct routine data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for process optimisation.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all personnel in the manufacturing area.

Qualifications:


  • Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 23 years of experience in GMP compliant manufacturing, preferably in the feed additive industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a manufacturing team.
  • Indepth knowledge of GMP regulations and quality control principles.
  • Strong understanding of advanced feed additive manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

$75, $95,000.00 per year
