About the role:


As a Team Manager in our Mental Injury team, you'll support a team of professionals in their delivery of superior quality service, through people leadership, culture building, workflow management and coaching & mentoring.


You will be a trusted leader in our Worker's Compensation team, with a view to lead your team to success through day-to-day workflow and people management.

Your ability to collaborate with other leaders and implement strategic thinking and planning with relation to Worksafe Performance Measures will be a core focus of this position.

You will be an exceptional leader within both your own team and the wider Work cover leadership group.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Proactively engaging and building strong relationships with our stakeholders to create solid platforms for discussion, understanding and collaboration pertinent to achieving exceptional work cover claims outcomes
  • Managing your team's daily workflow in order to achieve a high performing team output whilst maintaining exceptional stakeholder service standards
  • Providing exceptional and engaging leadership, coaching and feedback to staff relating to technical, business and performance related issues
  • Working collaboratively with Branch Managers and technical training team to identify your team member's skill, knowledge and capability opportunities with a view of build ing overall capability within your team
  • Lead, develop and cultivate team morale, with a direct focus on achievement and service orientated culture; ensuring a dedicated and teambased approach to the management of claims
  • Mentoring and coaching team members; encouraging creativity, risktaking and continuous improvement
  • Identifying any areas for improvement in our Claims Management service provision, and implementing strategies and processes to ensure GB's services meets business and WorkSafe requirements

We're interested in hearing from people who possess:

  • Experience within a People Manager role; outstanding leadership skills, and experience in coaching and mentoring staff is essential to your success
  • Previous experience within a client services or account management position
  • Knowledge of Workers Compensation industry performance measures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and external parties
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health and/or Tertiary qualification in appropriate field will be held in high esteem
