Our client is a leader in the Automation and Robotics space.

Due to the companies increasing pipeline of work, a newly created Robotics Technician role has been formed in the national service team to be based in WA Perth.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established and continually growing company with an amazing team and benefits.


_ Role and responsibilities:
_

  • Servicing machinery and attending to breakdowns at manufacturing sites, meat processing plants and occasionally mining sites. electrical, mechanical and vision related work.


  • Robot servicing

  • ABB and KUKA. Robotic/automated system manufacture and install.
  • Running customer training sessions, both formal and informal.
  • Training new staff and sharing knowledge.
  • Meetings with onsite supervisors to discuss maintenance issues and solutions. Report writing, site and machine reports.
  • Health and Safety Representative responsibilities meetings, actioning WHS plans, hazard reporting etc.
  • Managing finances and associated reports. Ordering stock and managing annual stock take.
  • Attending internal team meetings to discuss issues, safety and development.
  • Attending training sessions on personal and technical development e.g.
  • Robotics, vision and root cause analysis.
  • There may be a requirement for occasional Interstate travel and weekend work (paid as overtime). _

Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics Engineering, or similar technical degree.
  • Must have a high level of experience with ABB, KUKA robots.
  • Experience with PLC, HMI, Robotic, & SCADA programming.
  • Degree or trade qualification in relevant field.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and a good customer service approach.
  • High degree of initiative and innovative flair.
  • Must have an excellent level of written and verbal communication.
  • Exposure to manufacturing industry and understanding of process and manufacturing systems preferred.
