We are seeking several
Deckhands/Coxswains to join an industry leader and work on (or train in)
dredging
projects along the WA coast.

Initially you will be working on a project in Jurien Bay (until April or May) then you will go to various locations where the projects are.

Rosters vary according to the project. Jurien Bay will be a 3/1 roster, 12 hour days, with Sundays off to go fishing. Local projects are usually 5/2 rosters and hour shifts.
Deckhands work on various projects from Shark Bay down to Esperance.

Were looking for experienced Deckhands (Coxswain Grade 2 or higher) to do the following:

operate small craft for support of crew on dredging operations

- provide support to dredging operations such as greasing winches, fueling the dredge, general labouring duties
- working as part of a team
- fueling booster pumps
- general cleaning and maintenance
- loader/excavator operating if ticketed (on some projects)
- fuel deliveries

You will need to possess the following as a minimum:

Coxswain Grade 2 or higher.
A valid drivers license, HR an advantage
Previous deckhand experience and able to operate small craft
Mechanical aptitude
Marine or construction experience
White card
Able to pass drug and alcohol testing

Pay will include allowances for travel, meals etc according to the particular project. We are offering $40 per hour, flat rate.

Start dates are late January.
