YOUR ROLE
Our Insurance Platforms team is looking for an experienced Delivery Lead, could it be you?


You will be part of a technology products and services division, that creates market differentiation through deployment of resilient, innovative technology and contemporary methods, at scale.

You will deliver value to stakeholders and be responsible for fostering the agile processes within the team. The role collaborates with key stakeholders to deliver exceptional business outcomes through technology delivered change.

This role is responsible for uplifting of the agile delivery capability teams.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Enable teams to activate end to end digital experiences for customers, colleagues and partners, that are more secure, robust and scalable than ever before, and deliver them with lightning speed
  • Bring thought leadership in your field of expertise to support the planning and execution of Technology's strategic priorities, contemporary operating model and business plan
  • Contribute to both Technology and IAG performance with insights, collaborative input and expertise that promotes value creation, innovation, managed risk, and improved performance
  • Continue to develop and plan for future growth, enabling enterprise programs and managing products and services across the entire IAG estate
  • Demonstrate the IAG purpose and provide leadership to staff and partners that enables, promotes and demands IAG behaviours at all times
  • Lead teams to achieve continuous, quality delivery, maintaining a focus on customer value, outcomes that maximise flow.
  • Coach teams on agile ways of working, fostering continuous improvement to grow agile maturity, resilience and high performance
  • Provide a people supervisory role across teams, leading the daytoday people responsibilities for your squad and providing input into development and performance coaching conversations.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner, Project manager, Architects, Business stakeholders and SME's and other technology delivery teams during the delivery lifecycle, including conferring on the solution design, scope, dependencies, backlog, milestones, RAID and product demonstrations
  • Use technical as well as functional knowledge to remove roadblocks within the team as well as identifying technical risks and communicate & escalate obstacles requiring outside resolution.
  • Facilitate the identification and management of interdependencies across teams within a project and across different projects.
  • Proactively manage demand and capacity with key stakeholders to deliver on prioritised and approved demand, whilst reducing key person dependencies
  • Support the Platform to ensure high availability and reliability of the platform as per the agreed service levels

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for the right person, with a good attitude who will be a solid team fit with the following skills and experiences:

  • Minimum 5 years practical hands-on experience as Iteration Manager (or Scrum Master)
  • Active in the Agile community with experience working with Partners and Suppliers
  • Proven experience in Workforce planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • You have a continuous improvement mindset.
  • You have strong people leadership and negotiation skills
  • Able to coach / mentor agile processes within the team specifically in the delivery of the technology solutions.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to team development; able to work well in a crossfunctional, matrix
  • Proven track record of building motivated, collaborative, and productive development teams with the ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with technical team members
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while coordinating several teams at a time and responding to changing business and technical conditions
  • Tertiary qualification/s in Information Technology or related fields
  • Certification relevant to position such as Scrum Master, Scaled Agile or Project Manager
This is a full time, permanent role that is open to people based in Australia but ideally Melbourne based.

This role offers flexible working conditions that support a mix of working from home and being in the office.
