The Payroll/Account Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions related to payroll, invoicing, and accounting processes.


Your main duties/ responsibilities will include:

  • Process payroll on a regular basis, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with national regulations and tax requirements related to payroll.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to any payrollrelated queries from employees.
  • Maintain payroll documentation and reports for future reference.
  • Generate and send out invoices, tracking payments, and following up with clients or departments as necessary.
  • Reconcile invoices for services rendered, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Handle client inquiries and disputes related to invoicing.
  • Record and verify financial transactions, ensuring accuracy.
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries as required.
  • Preparing quotes and monitoring NDIS payment schedules and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Payment of superannuation and submission of payroll tax.
  • Undertake bank reconciliation and accounts receivable.
  • Creating weekly invoices for clients.
  • Budgeting and overlooking client's NDIS plans.
  • Ensure compliance with the Australian Accounting Standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Liaise with other departments, especially HR and Care Coordination teams, to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Participate in regular financial audits, both internal and external.
  • Stay updated on the latest regulations and best practices in payroll and accounting.
  • Manage and maintain Flexihome Cares software, ensuring data integrity, accuracy and relevance.

Essential Criteria:


  • Australian Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or related field.
  • Previous financial/accounts experience exceeding 12 months is desired.
  • Existing knowledge (desired) or willingness to learn about NDIS and the relevant field.
  • Knowledge of MYOB account rights
  • NDIS Worker Check
  • Working With Children Check

Job Type:

Salary:
$ $33.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
