We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Clinical Services Manager to join the team at Frankston Nursing Home. Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, the role of the Clincial Services Manager is to provide and coordinate resident care, supervise care staff and be responsible for AN-ACC funding requirements


About the role:


The Clincial Services Manager will be responsible for the provision and coordination of quality care standards, compliance and education programs that meet the individual needs of the residents and management of the clinical care staff team.

This role will ensure compliance with legislative and statutory requirements to enable us to continue to deliver a high standard of care, services lifestyle for our residents.


You will be required to:

  • Educate, mentor and support care staff to deliver a high level of quality care
  • Support the admission of new residents, including assessments, care planning and reviews
  • Manage complex healthcare, including wound care, infection control, pain management, falls and continence issues
  • Consult with residents, their families, allied health and medical practitioners
  • Lead the accurate and timely completion of reporting and documentation in line with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, professional standards, policies and procedures
  • Ensure the facility functions in line with Residential Aged Care quality standards, legislation and best practice guidelines
  • Complete clinical auditing within the aged care facility
  • Be able to identify AN-ACC rates in correspondence to the care needs required by individual residents based on care factors.
  • Ensure assessments, care strategies and ongoing documentation to provide the evidence to support AN-ACC funding.
  • Work collaboratively and constructively within a team, i.e., regular meetings to validate AN-ACC classifications
  • Consultative approach with external assessors visiting for the purpose of AN-ACC assessment
  • Provide expert advice and support to Residential Aged Care staff around funding evidence requirements, and work along the teams assisting in the resident assessment process.

What you bring:

  • Registered Nurse with current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Strong background in clinical and people leadership with the ability and desire to mentor others
  • Effective communication skills, oral and written
  • Demonstrated alignment with the philosophy of resident focused care, which supports dignity, independence and informed consultative decision making
  • Support the Facility Manager and multidisciplinary team to identify and analyse data on identified indicators and areas of risk.
  • Drive ANACC systems and processes
  • Review processes and documentation, and conduct audits, to identify gaps or trends and then implement staff education and continuous quality improvement initiatives in consultation with the manager and in line with best practice guidelines, organisational policies, and relevant legislation
  • Provide expert advice and support to Residential Aged Care staff around Funding evidence requirements to ensure a high standard of documentation of assessed resident care needs to support funding claims.
  • Providing handson leadership, guidance, and support
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check within the last 5 years.
  • Current Influenza and COVID19 vaccinations.

Licence/Certification:
