Health Safety & Wellbeing Advisor

  • The Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety initiatives and systems across Crown Perth to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of Crown team members, contractors, and visitors. We are seeking a highly motivated and capable individual who can partner with the business units to positively influence, educate and continually improve health, safety and wellbeing outcomes with a strong focus on effective risk management and proactive injury prevention while ensuring legislative compliance.
  • Key Selection Criteria:
  • Welldeveloped written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Developed knowledge of WHS legislation.
  • Knowledge of contemporary risk management practices and principles.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, large scale organization.
  • Strong customer focus and business acumen skills.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of safety and wellbeing policies, strategies and procedures.
  • Tertiary qualification in WHS or related field and previous experience in a health and safety.
  • Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training is highly regarded (but not essential).
  • Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of a positive safety culture by promoting a proactive approach to risk management and injury prevention.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the health and safety management system.
  • Partner with business units in addressing and monitoring corrective actions arising from compliance programs, audits and hazard/incident reports.
  • Partner with business units in the identification, assessment, control and monitoring of workplace hazards.
  • Support and mentor business units in timely incident reporting and investigations and the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Support and provide advice to the site's OSH Committee.
  • Educate and influence business leaders to ensure compliance with system processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate the design and delivery of health and safety risk management projects.
  • Develop and implement WHS related documentation.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and deliver a high level of customer service.
