About the Role and You
The Monash Health Ophthalmology Department provides clinical services at Monash Medical Centre Clayton.
Surgical services at the Cranbourne Day Surgery provide the second highest annual number of cataract operations in Victoria, with a smaller surgical service at MMC and MCH.
The clinics provide consultant, registrar and orthoptic services; general and sub-specialty, preadmission and postoperative cataract clinics for inpatient and outpatient, adult and paediatric, ophthalmic cases often associated with neuro-ophthalmic problems, trauma, complex medical problems or paediatric disorders.
You will provide orthoptic diagnostic and management services in a range of clinical settings including surgical assessment and postoperative cataract clinics, general, medical retina and paediatric ophthalmology.
You will be required to work independently, while being part of a multidisciplinary team focussed on patient care and efficient health care provision within a high-volume service.
This 0.8 EFT (four days/week) position is expected to commence in March 2023. This position may be appointed at either Grade 1 or Grade 2 level.What You Need:
