About the Role:

John Holland have recently been awarded an Iconic large water infrastructure project based in Werribee, VIC.

We're currently in the design and planning phase and are looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to join our project team.

Reporting into our Safety Manager, you'll be accountable for monitoring and supporting the safety function under general supervision and to provide support and coordination of safety practices, systems and procedures on the project.


Responsibilities of the role:


  • Monitor compliance with safety systems and procedures within the workplace and provide operational support to the project management team
  • Assist with the development of safety policies specific to the project
  • Administer safety programs for the project
  • Assist with conducting incident and accident investigations
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and monitoring work areas
  • Prepare and maintain reports and documentation concerning the aspects of project safety performance
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of project safety programs
  • Maintain professional relationships with regulatory bodies and clients to foster the professional image of John Holland
  • Review highrisk planned works to be undertaken to ensure compliance with the method of work
  • Support the general communication of SQE requirements to the project

To be successful:


  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent
  • Current First Aid qualification
  • Previous experience working as a Safety Advisor or similar on a large infrastructure project
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls
