About the Company


Our client is a respected superannuation fund in search of an Investment Operations Manager who will work closely with the investment, finance, and investment operations teams and externally with the custodian and fund managers to support the business' success.


In this role you will take charge of strategically developing processes and ensure all workflows are in compliance with regulatory requirements.


Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee investment managers' and custodian operational due diligence;
  • Manage internal operational synergies between the investment and operations teams;
  • Assist in managing implementations, investment operations functional activities including reconciliations, cash flow management, monitoring outstanding checks, unit pricing, and asset allocations;
  • Handle regulatory requirements and disclosures in compliance with APRA requirements, RG 97;
  • Present reports to the board of directors and the investment committee;
  • Liaise and manage relationships with key stakeholders across all levels in custody, audit, fund administration; AND
  • Develop and drive internal process efficiencies.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Commerce;
  • 5+ years' experience as a manager within funds operations / administration, preferably in the super fund industry;
  • High level of strategic and analytical skills;
  • Deep knowledge of Australian and international investment markets, RG97 and APRA guidelines and requirements;
  • Demonstrate sound crossfunctional stakeholder management skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; AND
  • Strong Excel skills and very strong attention to detail.
