The Opportunity


This is an exciting management opportunity for an experienced Practice Manager that is passionate and driven by the challenges and fulfillment of a Medical Centre.

You will be involved in developing and growing the practice by utilising your creative input, flair, leadership and business planning.

Your strong practice management and business acumen will assist in taking the practice to the next level.


We are a growing company and need a self motivated, enthusiastic manager with meticulous attention to detail to be involved through all phases of development.


The Company
A growing company operating medium size Medical Centre's.

The practice consists of 5 consulting rooms and operates using the state-of-art information technology. The medical software used is Best Practice.

The practice operates 7 days a week and is located on the border of ACT and NSW.


About the Role
The main objective of the role is to provide overall day-to-day management, leadership and operational expertise. You will also play an integral role in the strategic planning, marketing and future development of the practice.

You will be working with a team of 5 GP's, Allied Health providers, a Practice Nurse and several admin staff.

This is a full time position.


About the Opportunity


We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Practice Manager to lead our fantastic team of highly experienced doctors, registered nurse and administrative team members at one of our Canberra locations.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the Practice provides best practice primary health care to the community
  • Ensure process and systems are in accordance with National Standards for Accreditation
  • Manage team performance of staff
  • Source and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, health providers, and community organisations
  • Develop and implement a practice business plan which will enhance further an already high standard of patient health outcomes while driving financial sustainability

Essential Criteria:


  • Previous experience in management (Min 5 years' experience working with multidisciplinary teams will be highly regarded)
  • Experience in financial management and reporting processes
  • Good working knowledge of the Medicare Benefit Schedule
  • Strength in building customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to manage a diverse range of Team members and contractors
  • Demonstrated patientfocused approach in service provision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in multiple sites management is desirable
