About the position

Key selection criteria for this role includes:

  • Demonstrated understanding of working with young people with problematic alcohol and drug issues in a residential setting.
  • Ability to facilitate groups with young people, and willingness to participate in recreational and other activities with young people.
  • Demonstrated understanding of care planning and review.
  • Ability to engage and communicate with young people from a range of backgrounds (including cultural awareness) and age groups.
  • Ability to Maintain a professional approach in all communications with internal and external service providers
  • Ability to practice a range of interventions appropriate to the young people accessing residential services.
