About this role:


This newly created HR Manager role is an exciting development in the continued growth of a leading architecture practice with multiple offices across Australia and abroad.

It is a hands-on HR generalist role working across all aspects of HR including but not limited to; Admin, Recruitment, Performance Management, Employee Relations to deliver best practice to studios globally.


The HR Manager will assist the National Leadership Team in maintaining open communication with employees, ensuring they have clarity in how to raise and address opportunities and concerns relating to their employment and above all else - promote a positive working culture.


Key responsibilities:


  • Help develop and implement a national HR strategy.
Coach managers and provide ongoing recruitment admin support. Partner with managers to ensure adequate project resources are efficiently planned and managed. Deliver operational elements of the HR function, including generation of employment agreements, HR letters, etc. Manage the HR calendar, including performance, talent and remuneration reviews and exit interviews. Assist with the development of the Recruitment and Sourcing strategy and execute for the studio. Assist Associates in managing and allocating resources across the studio. Manage onboarding and induction for new employees. Manage and develop benefit options for staff. Manage the annual salary review and bonus allocation processes. Assist with the development of the Remuneration and Reward strategy and execute for the studio. Partner with Directors and Associates in Talent Management and Planning. Manage and support training and employee development across the studio. Measure Competency and Capability across studio

  • Provide timely and accurate advice to management on performance and conduct issues as needed. Act as Investigating Officer in managing employee grievances, mediating disputes, and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner. Ensure all performance, conduct and grievance matters are managed and documented according to relevant legislation. Identify and manage any employee relations risks. Identify trends in ER issues across the studio and develop appropriate remedial strategies.

Skills and Experience:


  • Relevant qualification in HR Management or similar
  • Prior experience within a rapidly growing organization particularly with setting up policies and framework from first principles, and implementing systems.
  • Experience working with a multioffice organization across various jurisdictions preferred but not essential.
  • Organised, innovative and proactive approach
  • Experience working within a design/architecture industry preferred
