THE ROLE
Our client is a leading NGO within the community services sector experiencing exponential growth. The role is diverse in that it covers quality standards and legislative requirements across the organisation.

The QAO Officer will be required to develop and constantly improve policies, procedures, and form, conduct internal audits, act as a point of contact with external auditor.


  • Provide support to the organisation regarding the Quality Management of (ISO standards such as ISO27001, Industry/ Auditing Standards of Aged Care and Disability Services, and other funding body requirements)
  • Establish systems that ensure service delivery quality standards are being met, as measured through internal and external audits
  • Assist with the audit preparation for Aged Care and Disability Services as per requirements of the Quality and Safety Standards
  • Development and implementation of Aged Care and Disability Services policies, procedures, and forms.
  • Applies and utilises organisation risk management systems, policies, and processes
  • Ensures staff and supervisors at all levels are informed of policy and procedural changes and other significant projects that impact on compliance and risk management
  • Develop and maintain compliance registers such as the Constant Improvement Register, Feedback and Complaints Register, WHS/ Incident management registers, and Legislation Compliance Register etc.

CRITERIA

  • Thorough knowledge of Quality Standards and Accreditation systems
  • Minimum 12 months experience working in a Quality Assurance focused role
  • Excellent report writing skills (Experience with writing and developing new policies, procedures, and forms)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, and as a part of a team.
  • Highlevel verbal communication skills.
  • National Criminal History Check.
  • Working with Children Check
