Fashion Design and Technology Trainee to undertake a certifcate IV or Diploma.
Preferred Requirements
- Excellent creativity with a good sense of fashion and style
- Ability with skills in garment construction and sewing
- Basic knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent pattern making skills manually on cardboard
- Neat and tidy approach to all tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Your Role
Work exclusively with the founder of the company and designer of the brand to be taught everything about the business from the ground up:
- Collaborating & Translating ideas to fabric designers for new products
- Designing sketches together for new products
- Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices
- Basic pattern alterations and retracing blocks onto card
- Sample cutting and cutting small production runs
- Heat pressing
- QC'ing garments
- Working with Excel to do fabric quantity and cut sheets
- Dropping off work to makers
- Bag up and dispatch orders
- Create / curating invoices for shop orders
- Dispatch Internet orders using My Business Post
- Working with models and photographers on photo shoots.
- Maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers and models
