About the Role

  • Part Time (0.7 FTE) Permanent Position
  • Classification: Consumer Service Delivery Level 2 with a salary range of $67,322 $72,203 per annum pro rata + Superannuation

Neami National is a community mental health service supporting people living with mental illness to improve their health, live independently and pursue a life based on their own strengths, values and goals.

We have been providing mental health support for over 30 years. We were founded on an alliance between professionals, individuals and their families. Collaborative recovery remains at the heart of who we are today.


About your new role

As a Community Rehabilitation Support Worker (CRSW) you will provide tailored support to vulnerable young people living mulitple complex needs including, but not limited to mental health, complex trauma, dual diagnosis, dual disbaility, gender dysphoria and eating disorders.

The role utilises a trauma informed framework to supports young people to meet their individual goals and needs.

CRSWs provide individual trauma informed support, alongside the facilitation of daily psychosocial groups and shared support of up to 10 young people during their 12 twelve months stay.

CRSWs will work collaboratively with the young person to support building their independence, autonomy and capacity in areas including but not limited to, employment, education, healthy relationships, with financial literacy, health and wellness.

Where possible, connecting with their own community of friends, family and neighbourhood to encourage and support independence and increase skills and capacity

What you will bring to the role

  • Demonstrates an interest and understanding of others and relates well to people at all levels
  • Demonstrates selfawareness and ability to reflect and handle feedback well and learn from it
  • Proven ability to work alone, autonomously with mínimal supervision and to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive critical incidents and difficult situations in a diplomatic manner
  • Ability to establish respectful professional relationships that have clear boundaries with young people, staff and partner organisations

What the role requires:


  • National Criminal History Check (Police check) disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Australian Working Rights
  • As part of Neami's condition of employment you will need to provide appropriate evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID19 (having received three doses) to Neami National.
