The Role


The Agile Coach will coach the Extended IT Leadership team to successfully create a culture of innovation, high performance, psychological safety & inclusion and to deliver the New ways of working programs.

This adds value to the organisation by ensuring that we are building up, and retaining the right internal leadership capabilities to sustain agility and an innovation mindset to ensure that we can deliver on Origin's and the IT strategy.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support development of the new ways of working strategy
  • Coach and support the IT leadership team to create a culture of innovation, high performance, psychological safety and inclusion to ensure that we can deliver on Origin IT's strategy. Lead culture initiatives, and promote and develop a continuous improvement culture, across Technology teams and key business partners.
  • Coach and support the Corporate and Technology teams to deliver a stepchange in delivery and culture through the New ways of working program. Support the development of cross functional outcomesdriven teams and the use of Agile and Lean tools & practices to deliver value.
  • Develop and implement tools & best practices to help unlock people's potential and navigate challenges to deliver creative & innovative solutions. Lead the development of plans and strategies to ensure we build up, and retain, the right internal capabilities to sustain agility and an innovation mindset within the Extended Technology team and the broader Origin team.
  • Partner with key roles in the extended Technology leadership team to define, develop and implement an innovation strategy and agility framework aligned to the IT Strategy.
  • Challenge stakeholders to maximise opportunities from innovation and technology and support the capability enablement of these opportunities.
  • Champion the values of Origin and continually push the business to build a better tomorrow.
  • The role will comply with all relevant Work, Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, Codes of Practice, standards, policies, operating procedures and work instructions and be actively involved in Origin Energy Health, Safety and Environment Systems and Procedures.

About you

  • 10+ years experience in coaching, motivating, leading and developing high performance teams driving cultural change and continual improvement. Experience in coaching business product owners and senior management
  • Extensive experience in delivery of business outcomes using 'Agile' practices. Familiarity with Systems Thinking, Value stream mapping, prototyping, customer interviews, learning, optimising, Lean experiments, and Measurement of valuebased metrics
  • Strong facilitation and listening skills with demonstrated experience in leading and facilitating workshops and cadences using a variety of techniques (e.g. Agile Games & PI Planning). Experience in project/program delivery.
  • Has relevant technology experience from a wide range of technologies, understanding of contemporary DevSecOps practices, such as Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) etc
  • Pragmatic balance between "agile theory" and inthetrenches decisionmaking on practices. Experience in helping teams navigate ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Has extensive knowledge of Agile and Lean practices as well as standard industry project delivery methodologies
  • Organisational Change Management practices
  • Understanding of Origin businesses and Corporate team driver
