Accounts Payable Officer
The business is a well-established, award-winning commercial construction company with a reputation for delivering exceptional projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer who is looking to contribute with their experience and extend their responsibilities and skill set in an interesting role.
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of the accounts payable function of the groupResponsibilities include:
- The accurate and timely entering of invoices
- Managing inbound correspondence
- Checking and collation of approved invoices in a timely manner for payment
- Maintaining the creditor database
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and team members
- Assisting the finance team with ad hoc accounting support work as required
- Attending to administrative tasks such as monitoring and ordering office supplies, handling deliveries, despatching mail and tasks related to maintenance and upkeep of the office facility.
Your expertise
We would like to hear from you if can demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge and experience within accounts payable and have 2+ years within a similar role
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and work autonomously
- Motivation for working in the role and a proactive approach
- Ability to respond quickly to support team goals and reprioritise workload effectively
