Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage in a APS5 Procurement and Contracts Officer for a 12-month assignment with potential extension in Geelong VIC.

About the Team
The Procurement and Corporate Services Branch support the NDIA business areas by providing corporate, procurement and property services.


About the role

The APS5 Procurement (Labour Hire) is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility.

The position will provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
The position is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex research, analysis and advice work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position as it provides procurement advice.


Mandatory skill requirements:


  • Previous Procurement experience, preferably in a Government Agency or Department

Desirable skill requirements:


  • Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR's)
  • SAP experience

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing level administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information.
  • Providing procurement advice and support to the broader Agency.
  • Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines, NDIA Procurement Policy and procedures.
  • Assisting with tracking value for money based outcomes and preparing reports against KPIs.
  • Preparing a range of procurement related documentation.
  • Entering, extracting and manipulating data to enable accurate Agency reporting.
  • Contributing to team and branch planning activities including identifying opportunities for improvements

What's on Offer?

- Position located in GEELONG VIC

- APS5 $55.24/ph + super

- Temporary contract for 12 months, with possibility to extend
**- Standard Hours or work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm
