As the Manager (Technology Business Management Office), you have a customer-centric and collaborative approach to your work and are passionate about being part of a high performing management team that are committed to partnering with the business to drive innovation through IT and enable technology investments to be facilitated by data drive decision making to provide value and quality of IT investments for the department.


Here are some of the activities you will be doing: - Providing expert advice and assistance to the Chief Information Officer, Executive Directors and other Senior Leaders on all matters relating to the TBM Office program of activities including strategic finance, high level budget management, and cost model initiatives. Engaging IT technical experts and staff at all levels and disciplines across the organisation, identify how existing data is used and what financial information and processes are supported by this data, as well as build and develop relationships with data owners. Gather, analyse and prioritise strategic financial/project requirements for the TBM Office within the current environment in line with the TBM framework, taxonomy, metrics and operating model. Manage and monitor branch financial performance and provide appropriate reports and advice to the ITB Senior Leadership Team on the TBM Office program of work. Prepare and deliver communication strategies and plans, ensuring effective communication of insights and the implementation of the TBM Office to cross-functional team members and management, serving as the liaison between stakeholders. Develop and introduce continuous improvement programs and processes for financial and budget management on behalf of the branch to support the role of the TBM Office.


About you:

With knowledge of the Technology Business Management discipline, you exhibit customer empathy and a keen interest in providing expert advice to Senior Leaders relating to the TMR Office Program of activities.

These include strategic finance, high level budget management, and cost model initiatives. You're driven, committed and passionate about what you do.

You are pro-active and solutions focussed, engaging IT technical experts at all levels across the organisation, identifying how existing data is used and what financial information and processes are supported by this data.


What success looks like:

Using your extensive knowledge of financial, administrative and compliance policies, procedures and systems and a tertiary or post-graduate qualification in Business or IT, you will assist TMR leaders realise the best value of IT investments for the department.

You will also implement and manage the ITB Cost Model (Apptio), ICT Investment and Funding Model(s) and the Workforce Capacity initiatives.
