Job Description:


The is a senior Head of role within the Group Life Insurance and will play a lead role in supporting the delivery of the Group Insurance Strategy along with the wider Group Life business.


This role is responsible for leading and delivering the Industry Fund Insurance and Commercial strategy for Superannuation Partners including TAL's Voluntary portfolio capability including Product and Pricing strategy in line with TAL's commercial and operational plans.


It is critical that this role cultivate a strong relationship and partnership with the corresponding Head of Partnership and Head of Insurance Strategic Partners, Head of Group Life Pricing and Head of Group Life Product to deliver the Industry Fund strategy and wider TAL strategy.

This role will also work closely with respective Head's of Account, Product, Pricing and Portfolio Management to help design, deliver and measure the strategic activity to deliver a cohesive Group Life Strategy.


The role will also be responsible for delivering:

  • Collaborative input into TAL Group Life and Partner, Strategy with respective Head of Partnership.
  • Coordination of commercial reinsurance arrangements for strategic partners.
  • Creating trusted and transparent Product, Pricing and commercial relationships with strategic partners.
  • Monitoring of strategic partner performance supported by business solutions should performance differ from plans.
  • Ongoing product benchmarking to ensure the balance of competitiveness and value for members and TAL.
  • Market leading product and pricing solutions in response to key industry themes.
  • Member insight driven continuous improvement in member centric led product and proposition.
  • Product and pricing proposals and solutions in line with TAL's commercial appetite, Product, Pricing Policy and strategic partner plans.
  • Strategic Partner risk management and governance framework; and

Qualifications:


  • Proven, seniorlevel, actuarial, product and business management skills in Life Insurance
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the Group Market
  • Strong, mature strategic thinker
  • High level of relationship development skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
  • Driven by great Client and TAL outcomes
  • Ability to develop knowledge of the Australian life insurance market industry structure and trends, drivers and profitability, competitors
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering quality outcomes on multiple tasks and projects within budget and planned timeframes
  • Proven track record of delivery and managing others to successful delivery
