Barwon Health is the largest health service in regional Victoria and based in Geelong, it is within commuting range from the west side of Melbourne.

South West Alliance of Rural Health (SWARH) aims to support health outcomes in these regions through centralised, expert, specialist Information Communication Technology services and strategic solutions for its member health services and customers.

SWARH is a government-established joint venture; supplying ICT shared services to acute public hospitals and associated health services within the Barwon and southwest regions of Victoria, covering some 60,000 square kilometres.
