The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.

This city shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership, will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney.

WeBuild as a D&C Contractor member, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to appoint a Safety Advisor.

Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be accountable for the day-to-day governance of activities, to ensure that construction activities taking place in your area of responsibility maintains a healthy and safe working environment for all personnel involved.

Your day to day may include:

Providing advice and support to the field construction team(s) to ensure compliance with statutory, Parklife JV and client HS obligations;
Implementation of Health & Safety (HS) plans and subsidiary systems documentation;
Communication of HSE issues / standards;
HSSE Compliance Audits;
Workplace inspections, emergency drills and exercises;
Development and submission of scheduled HS reporting and analysis of performance trends;
HSE training and competency assessment, including onboarding and inductions;
Incident classification, notification, investigation, and close out of corrective actions;
Promoting a dynamic and positive HSSE culture focused on achieving success.

Key requirements for the role:

Formal HS Qualifications such as Cert IV
Workplace Health & Safety or similar
White Card
C Class driver's license
Minimum 3 years' experience working in Healthy & Safety, preferably in the construction industry
Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
