The role:


  • Provide specialist advice and recommendations regarding the maintenance, review and enhancement of mental health and alcohol and other drugs information systems.
  • Provide specialist expertise and advice regarding information systems operational support design, business processes and system documentation to Hospital and Health Services, nongovernment, and private agencies.

  • High level of interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise and influence.
  • High level of organisation skills and experience in information systems development and operation.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the functions and organisation of the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch as they relate to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island culture; consumers and carers; mental health care and alcohol and other drugs treatment service.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / change / release management.
