The Opportunity


The Health & Wellbeing Advisor will be involved in key safety projects including manual handling training, managing onsite first aid services and involvement in auditing and monitoring of safety systems.


The Accountabilities

  • Managing returntowork process i.e., coordinating suitable duties, managing returntowork plans, supporting team leaders on their responsibilities, and liaising with key health professionals


  • Prevention Programs

  • MOVE (manual handling training), involvement in 'site safety focused' high leverage initiatives
  • Attending onsite safety meetings
  • Safety Action Group and Safety steering committee
  • Development and review of IM policies and procedures
  • Actively involve and assist in the coordination of the sitewide manual handling risk assessments
  • Managing the first aid services delivered onsite and ensuring that qualifications are maintained.

The Ingredients for Success
Just like you can't make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:

  • Experience managing the rehabilitation and return to work requirements for all work-related injuries/illnesses onsite
  • Experience working for a selfinsured organisation and have a demonstrated track record of successfully managing the rehabilitation and return to work needs of injured workers
  • Demonstrated past experiences in being able to produce highquality work within a strict timeframe
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems
