Payroll Officer

With offices across Australia, USA, Canada, Malta and the Philippines we are on a mission to be the biggest gaming company in the world**Due to VGW's growth we are growing our payroll team As the Payroll Officer you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of VGW's Australian payroll.

Key responsibilities will include:

Ensure any payroll changes, records or any other payroll related material is received prior to close of the payroll run.
Prepare the monthly payroll or/and any ad hoc pay runs in a timely manner.
Assist the Payroll Manager with monthend tasks by reconciling payroll tax, PAYG Tax, superannuation, etc.
Assist the Payroll Manager with reconciliation of Payment Summaries.
Assist the Payroll Manager with Year End tasks in preparation of the yearend audits.
Provide redundancy calculations to P&C.
Calculate termination pay.
Review data in payroll system with HRIS.
Answer any queries from employees in a timely manner.
Review employee expense claims to ensure they are meeting company policy.
Set up new users in the travel platform and maintain data.
Work cooperatively within the Finance team, assist other team members to achieve team objectives and work outcomes and proactively engage in special projects, ad hoc analysis and transactions as required.

What you will bring to the role:

At least 3 years experience in end to end payroll processing. Able to perform manual calculations of Long Service Leave, redundancies, final pay etc.
Ability to analyse and review payroll data.
Good knowledge of accounting, accounting systems and intermediate excel skills.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of payroll compliance.
Payroll tax knowledge in all Australian states would be beneficial.
Diploma in Payroll Services or related accounting degree.
