About the Organisation
This is a large Federal Government department. This position is in the Corporate Services team in the Procurement and Corporate Services Branch. The Procurement and Corporate Services Branch support the business areas by providing corporate, procurement and property services.

The Corporate Services Section is responsible for overseeing and managing corporate operations (including fleet vehicles and mail distribution), information and knowledge management, and corporate shared services.


About the Roles
The

APS5 Information Management will be required to undertake various information, records and knowledge management related research activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident. You will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that supports and contributes to agencys objectives


Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing level administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of policies and processes to ensure records and information management compliance.
  • Contributing to the provision of specialist information management advice and recommendations to individuals and teams across the Agency.
  • Monitoring Agency information management activities.
  • Assisting in training, advice and support on the Agency's records management system.
  • Contributing to a range of information management activities and improvement projects.

Key Skills Required to excel in this role:

  • Previous experience in a government records management roles.
  • Knowledge of of Commonwealth legislative requirements for information and records management.
  • Adaptable, resilient with good problemsolving skills to manage challenges productively and positively.
  • Strong administrative experience with an exposure to compliance reporting.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
