About the Opportunity


The Compliance, Contract and Assurance Officer supports all business areas of Acacia Prison in maintaining compliance to Contractual Obligations and Operational Performance Measures.

This includes analysing, evaluating, trending and reporting on relevant information for continual improvement and assisting in the provision of advice on contractual matters.


What you'll be doing

  • With the

Operational Performance Manager Acacia Prison Quality Management System:

Manage Annual Audit Schedule, prepare and conduct reviews against policy and process, and monitor satisfaction of observations toward maintaining compliance to contractual requirements and ISO 9001:201- Risk Register: Prepare monthly reports, attend monthly Risk Review meetings, prepare and circulate Agenda and Minutes, and follow up on actions.


  • Operational Assurance: Manage matters related to Operational Assurance, prepare monthly reports, attend monthly Operational Assurance meetings, prepare and circulate Agenda and Minutes, and follow up on actions.
  • Training Register: Monitor (Custodial and LMS) training to ensure continued compliance to contractual training requirements.
  • Assist in managing complaints and correspondence from prisoners to ensure issues are resolved, responses submitted timeously, and trends identified to reduce the likelihood of litigation and to assist in improving performance.
  • Manage release of new Policies and Standing Orders and monitor Standing Orders to ensure existing versions are reviewed, updated and distributed.
  • Support all business areas of Acacia Prison in maintaining compliance to contractual obligations and operational performance measures.

About you - your ideal skills & experience

  • Qualifications in Business, Commercial or Contract Law (Desired but not essential)
  • Previous experience in a relevant area (Justice / Commerce / Business / Auditing) (Desired)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Attention to detail when it comes to reporting, trends in data and auditing.
  • Ability to gain cooperation and assistance from colleagues and stakeholders toward meeting outcomes.
  • Compliance with due dates, without exception.
  • This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a Federal police check as an essential selection component for this role._
