What does the role involve?


Based in Sydney, the Territory Manager is responsible for leading, managing and monitoring operations in a delivery network across New South Wales.

This includes ensuring safety, service, performance and compliance standards are achieved, whilst actively driving change to manage costs and network/operational innovation and improvement.

On a daily basis this role will see you:


  • Manage local activities that support the achievement of the Deliveries objectives, with a particular focus on safety, customer, service delivery standards, cost activities and legal and legislative compliance.
  • Initiate cost savings, network improvements and lead the mitigation of customer satisfaction risks
  • Lead the execution of operational strategies that drive the integration of the processing, and letters and parcels delivery operations to realise integration benefits
  • Lead the achievement of short and long term strategic business objectives, including increasing profit uplift and market control and supporting the growth of Deliveries
  • Execute productivity initiatives which will optimise the operations
  • Collaborate and align with state Territory Manager peers to ensure consistency of activity and process across the Deliveries network

What experience will you have?

  • Experience in being a strong people leader who can communicate change initiatives
  • Operational leadership experience in a large complex organisation structure
  • Significant change management experience
  • A strong business acumen and high level of understanding on financial management and strategy planning in the identification and development of solutions
  • Knowledge and experience in managing a team budget and maintaining high service and financial performance results
  • Track record of effective negotiation skills dealing with industrial relations conflicts and negotiations with Unions and difficult workplace situations.
  • Ideally you'll come from a logistics and supply chain background however this is not essential
