About the Role
National Construction Services Company looking for an Operations Manager. Working on some of the biggest Infrastructure and Commercial Projects in NSW.


Our client provides Construction Services to a range of Clients across Australia, with a focus on Tier 1 & 2 companies.

With experience in the Mining, Construction and Civil Construction Industry this is a great opportunity join a growing National Organisation in a Management Role.

Trades, labour hire, machinery, site equipment and fabrication experience and strong interpersonal skills and commitment to safety are highly valued.

Duties include

  • Day to day management of team workshop / yard and site teams including managing workflows, restructuring priorities and holding teams accountable to timeframes
  • Sourcing opportunities for new business (Plant / Ancillary equipment hire etc) whilst managing existing relationships wit Tier 1 & 2 clients
  • Lead projects from prep to delivery including critical works, maintenance, scheduling, effective management of the pipeline
  • Liaise with clients to service their site requirements
  • Work with the Finance team to ensure operational budgets and organisational efficiency, ensuring revenue and costs are managed and captured by finance and assisting with forecasting
  • Maintain safety procedures for the business including oversing Safety and Toolbox Talks
  • Document administration and organisation
  • Train hire and develop staff

About You

You will have an adaptable communication style to ensure cohesiveness across the team and an ability to work with everchanging priorities.

You will be the glue between the management team and have a calm, level head.


This role would well suit someone who is coming from an operational role, or even a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer who wants to transition off the project site to an internal environment.


  • 5+ years experience within the construction industry is a MUST, with experience relating to Tier 1 construction highly regarded
  • A process improvement mindset
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Technical experience relating to heavy plant equipment such as various hoists & cranes types highly regarded
  • Ability to oversee more than one project simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • A dynamic, team player
