Key responsibilitiesSome of your responsibilities will include: - Provide strategic leadership and coordinate Project Managers across a portfolio of Region transport infrastructure in relation to asset management, road safety minor works and maintenance projects in the concept refinement, development, implementation and review phases in a relational manner.

Provide the professional expertise necessary for the development of best practice and the implementation of innovative approaches to program delivery.

Act as the Principal's Representative and Superintendent in contract administration as appropriate.

Provide authoritative, strategic, and operational advice to the Deputy Regional Director and program Managers on program management, delivery, and road safety operational issues.

Monitor and report to the Deputy Regional Director and Program Management Team on the progress of projects against program priorities.

Investigate and resolve complex issues associated with the projects to improve overall performance and ensure value-for-money, project delivery.

Investigate and resolve complex issues associated with network safety, road signing and delineation by developing proposals for road safety projects and implementing minor works safety enhancements.

Prepare and deliver submissions and reports relating to operational, planning and technical issues and identify appropriate mitigation strategies to overcome problems or obstacles.

Lead the public consultation and communication activities to ensure that effective engagement is undertaken with community, federal, state and local government agencies and other major stakeholders.

Provide project management leadership to ensure that a planned approach is adopted to minimise the impact of risk and optimum allocation of resources.

Develop and maintain ongoing constructive relationships with other government agencies and jurisdictions, industry, stakeholders, community and internal and external client networks.

Operate as a member of the Regional Leadership Team to contribute to and assist in the implementation of the culture change processes taking place within regions including in the building of high-performance teams.

Act as 'Representative of the Principal' for the delivery contracts as defined and delegated at respective development/implementation phases.

Ensure appropriate technical governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards and procedures.

Provide professional expertise necessary for best practice development and delivery of the district's infrastructure program in relation to asset management, traffic engineering and maintenance, and implementation of innovative approaches to program delivery.

Maintain road network information to enable asset management.
