Job Purpose

To ensure targets are met, allocating resources effectively, and maintaining strong productive relationships between leaders and team members.
To facilitate the injection of Construction knowledge and schedule requirements into Engineering and Procurement, and to align the Engineering IFC deliverables and Equipment/Material sequence supply to Construction needs.
To ensure that an efficient and optimized project execution is implemented, anticipating the needs and constrains of the project.
To make sure that, jointly with Management Team, Engineering and Procurement Team will have a clear path forward of the Construction Execution Strategy.
To communicate project requirements and to align plan to project decisions.
To identify and inject into the project execution plan of the construction sequences, priorities and schedule needs, focusing on a structured and careful identification of the critical path from startup and/or plant handover and of the optimization of required resources. Activities on the Critical Path are grouped under mono

- discipline construction work packages for which the start of construction must match the rule of 100% IFC drawings available/100% material available prior to commence.

Rsponsabilities

Defines the Project strategies and contributes to the Project Execution Plan.
Guarantees and verifies that all information concerning the Project is correctly and promptly distributed.
Analyses of contractual documents and authorizes their appropriate distribution to the disciplines involved; she/he chairs Contract Review.
Ensures project management best practices within the organization.
Ensures efficient communication and information sharing between Lead disciplines and other project stakeholders.
Provide leadership and ability to guide team(s) in prioritising workload effectively.
Develop and implement mitigation plans for deviations from schedule/ budget/ deliverables as well as unanticipated occurrences and risks when required.
Ensure that project execution shall fulfil requirements of law and authorities and that all required permits (e.g., building permit) have been granted.
Maintain and uphold awareness of safety and environmental requirements.
Expedites nonconformity to appropriate administrator/parties in the event of external nonconformities, providing all necessary information for their resolution.
Takes part in meeting with the Client and ensure high levels of client satisfaction across the project and business's needs, whilst optimising resources and minimising costs.
Ensure an integrated, cooperative and 'in anticipation' execution of the project, especially for Transversal topics, requiring a joint multidisciplinary and multiexpertise effort; such as Modularization Plan

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in engineering
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) preferred.
Membership of relevant Engineering Institutions (e.g. Engineers Australia) preferred.

Experience

15 + years relevant experience with engineering contracting or consultancy organisations in one or more of the following sectors Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals and Infrastructure / Utilities.5+ years minimum experience in an Engineering Management role
Good multidiscipline understanding
