4 Month Contract + possibility of extension

Pay:
$60 - $65 / hour + super


Location:
Garran ACT (All work can be completed remotely)


Hours of work: 8 hours per week (The 8 hours per week can be worked either on a single day or across multiple days in the week.)


This position reports to the Director, CHS Library & Multimedia and is primarily responsible for reference and research services, client training and the efficient and effective delivery of library client services.

This will specifically include:

Responsibilities:


  • Undertake indepth evidencebased medical and health reference and research services.
  • Plan and deliver, client and team facetoface and online training programs, in the effective use of eResources, information and research literacy, library services and online access issue resolution.
  • In collaboration with other library staff, perform rostered service desk duties and client service activities including online resource troubleshooting, acquisitions, cataloguing, document supply, collection maintenance, library administration and procedure development.
  • Promote library services to clients using virtual and traditional marketing tools and collect and organise evidencebased information for specific client groups for dissemination via digital channels.
  • Proven experience conducting medical evidencebased research, or the ability to develop these skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in two or more of the following rostered library service desk duties, online resource troubleshooting, acquisitions, cataloguing, document supply, library administration, procedure development, library service promotion, training program development and delivery, client service innovation or library projects.
  • Ability to build and support team and organisational networks, work positively and cooperatively, and problem solve collaboratively, using efficient methods and technology, in a team environment, and a demonstrated ability to adapt to operational and organisational change. Possess welldeveloped liaison, written, verbal and digital communication skills and strong organisational and planning skills.
