A teacher employed in the TAFE sector will work collaboratively within a team of education professionals. Within this team environment, they will plan deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure compliance of high-quality education and training programs.

This role requires our teachers to be able to customise and adapt our programs to meet our learners and clients' needs that vary from certificate level through to diploma and associate degree levels.


An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Screen and Media teacher in the field of Sports Media to join our team on a casual basis to inspire, engage and educate our students for the 21st century.

In this role, you will be responsible for some of the teaching areas below, such as:


  • Sound
  • Networking in Sports Media
  • Social Media
  • Freelancing
  • Sports Commentary
  • Producing TV or Radio

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or its successor)
  • mandatory legal requirement
  • Relevant degree or vocational qualification in vocational areas applicable to Vocational Education programs including evidence of currency or related field
  • Demonstrated substantial relevant work experience in Screen and Media, in particular, Sports Media
  • Demonstrated ability to implement high quality innovative teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning modes
  • Demonstrated ability or the capacity to provide support and advice to students of diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities
  • A valid working with children's check (or ability to obtain prior to or upon commencement)
